Too Hard to Dig
Mod Overview
This modification for modern Minecraft versions starting from 1.20 was developed under the influence of interesting gameplay mechanics. It transforms the resource gathering system, making the process more profound and strategic.
Core Features
Dynamic Mining Speed
Your efficiency when working with blocks directly depends on their depth position. The deeper you go underground, the slower block destruction becomes. This dependency creates a sense of realistic material resistance.
Accumulative Fatigue Effect
As you consistently mine one block after another, the character begins to tire - their productivity gradually decreases. After processing a certain number of blocks (currently 16), the minimum possible mining speed is achieved.
Fatigue Reset
The system provides conditions for restoring working capacity. If the distance between consecutive mining operations exceeds 10 blocks horizontally, your fatigue counter is halved. And when moving vertically by 10 levels or more, the indicator is completely reset.
Exceptions for Minerals
All blocks belonging to the category of ores and minerals completely ignore this mechanic. Their extraction occurs at normal speed without fatigue accumulation.
Territorial Limitations
Currently, the mod effects are activated only when working at depths below level 64 of the world. Future updates plan to introduce flexible restriction configuration depending on biome type.
Usage Benefits
The modification organically encourages players to actively explore caves and develop specialized resource gathering strategies. As a result - the value of preparing for underground expeditions and rational route planning increases.
Note *: this was an experimental feature that developers have not yet decided whether to include in the final version.
