ToolUtilities
Have you ever dreamed of being able to place torches with a simple right-click or mine resources over an area while maintaining vanilla gameplay? ToolUtilities is made just for you!
This mod expands the functionality of standard Minecraft tools (as well as some tools from other mods with similar mechanics), adding many useful features. You'll be able to place blocks in the style of Tinkers' Construct, mine resources in a 3x1 column or over a 3x3 area, efficiently chop down trees, and attack mobs in an area. All upgrades are applied on an anvil, and in-game tooltips provide detailed explanations of which items do what.
The best part about this mod is its complete customizability. You can adjust the items required for upgrades, the amount of experience needed, and enable or disable each feature individually.
Main Features
All Tools
Tools without their own right-click function (except swords and hoes) allow placing blocks from the next inventory slot. The first slot uses the last slot on the hotbar—perfect for quickly placing torches or filling holes with cobblestone!
Pickaxes and Shovels
Pickaxes and shovels can be upgraded for area mining. The first upgrade allows mining in a 3x1 column, the second—over a 3x3 area. All operations account for proper tool durability and hunger consumption, while also slowing down mining speed. The system also considers the tool's mining level and prevents breaking blocks that are too hard for it.
Axes
Axes gain the ability to chop wood in a 3x1 column, significantly simplifying work with tall trees like dark oaks.
Swords
Swords can be upgraded for area attacks, allowing you to hit multiple mobs in a small radius with a single strike. The system correctly calculates durability loss and hunger consumption for each target hit.
Hoes
Hoes gain the ability to clear grass over a 3x3 area, turning them into efficient "scythes" familiar from many other mods.
