
Toxic World
This mod introduces additional challenges to hardcore gameplay, making the environment more dangerous and unpredictable.
Main Features
Toxic Rain - when you're outside during rainfall, you receive a poison potion effect. The longer you remain in the open during precipitation, the stronger the effect becomes.
Toxic Biomes - in certain biome types, breaking ground or grass blocks can release toxic gas that also applies the poison effect. Staying in water within toxic biomes also leads to poisoning.
Toxic biome types include: swamp, jungle, dead zones, and wet territories.
Poison Protection
The mod adds an "Uncorrodible" enchantment that significantly reduces the chance of getting poisoned. While armor itself doesn't take poison damage even without this enchantment, this enhancement makes protection more effective. A full set of enchanted armor reduces the poison chance to 5%.
Flexible Configuration
Almost all aspects of the mod can be customized to your preferences:
- Ability to disable toxic rain, poisonous water, and dangerous blocks
- Configuration of toxic block spawn chance (default 5%)
- Adjustment of poison effect parameters: initial time, added time, maximum duration
Rain Difficulty System
Starting from version 1.1.0, the mod can be used solely as a weather modifier, as all features are optional.
Level 0 - Easy: Regular vanilla Minecraft rain. All Toxic World calculations are completely disabled.
Level 1 - Normal: The rain calculation system is enabled, replacing the standard mechanics. Precipitation becomes more random, with changed intervals between rainfalls.
Level 2 - Hard: An enhanced version of the system with increased rain probability (+230% compared to normal mode) and shorter pauses between precipitation events.
Important Information
When choosing a difficulty level above 0, you lose control over the weather. The mod completely takes over rain management, making it impossible to enable or disable rain using commands, beds, or other mods. Rain duration in normal mode varies from 50 seconds to 18 minutes.
Rain Parameters
Normal Mode:
- Delay time: 250-750 seconds + last rain time
- Duration: short (50-120 sec), normal (500-1100 sec), long (600 sec)
- Rain chance: 10%
- Thunderstorm chance: 5%
- Intensity: completely random
Hard Mode:
- First delay: 100-150 seconds
- Subsequent delays: 1-1.5 seconds + (last rain time / 100)
- Duration: 600-3000 seconds
- Rain chance: 33%
- Thunderstorm chance: 25%
- Intensity: 70-100%
