A Massive New Underground Structure

This mod requires Trailier Tales to function.

Remnants introduces a large-scale underground structure comparable in size to Trial Chambers or Strongholds, sometimes even larger. The structure comes in three design variants: Andesite, Diorite, and Granite.

Like the author's other projects, this mod maintains the spirit of the original game, seamlessly blending with Minecraft's vanilla style.

Structure Features

Remnants generate in stone layers underground across most biomes. The architectural style blends elements from Strongholds, Dungeons, and Trial Chambers.

A key feature is the unique redstone system—unlike the copper lamps in Trial Chambers, you'll find complex electrical circuits here. Activating mechanisms in specific areas randomly lights up redstone lamps, unlocking new sections for exploration.

Explore mysterious rooms reminiscent of Strongholds and fight in combat chambers with trial spawners. Victory rewards you with special keys—regular and ominous—that grant access to unique vault treasures.

Discover numerous secrets using the Surveyor block from Trailier Tales and classic puzzles leading to hidden chests and secret rooms!

In forest biomes, a stone brick well now generates above Remnants, marking the underground structure's location (starting from version 1.1).

Three Design Variants

All three structure versions contain about 50 core rooms but differ in brick color schemes and trial spawner mob types.

Default: zombies, skeletons, spiders

Andesite: husks replace zombies

Diorite: strays replace skeletons

Granite: cave spiders replace spiders

Room Variety

Each structure includes several room types providing diverse gameplay experiences.

Great Hall—central hub from which all other rooms branch out.

Great Hall Rooms—three types of side chambers: sleeping quarters, preparation rooms, and power rooms.

Small Halls—numerous passageways of different shapes and sizes, often containing puzzles.

Small Rooms—compact spaces with puzzles, chests, or trial spawners.

Jail Cells—three variations: tannery, storeroom, and standard prison cell.

Grand Halls—more spacious corridors adjacent to combat rooms.

Combat Rooms—five types of large chambers focused on battles, similar to Trial Chambers. Each room features unique redstone mechanics to complicate fights.

Miscellaneous Rooms—various chambers with their own secrets and lore elements.

Secret Rooms—three carefully hidden chambers (hint: lecterns can activate redstone!).

The Great Library—the rarest and most expansive location in the mod. Has a small chance to replace the Great Hall as the starting point and contains its own secrets and most valuable loot.

Total mod includes 171 structure files or 57 core ones if not counting the three alternative design variants.

No dungeon is complete without valuable loot! Besides standard vanilla items, Remnants offers exclusive gear.

- Katana (from version 1.1)—fast weapon with blocking capability like a shield

- "Relentless" enchantment (from version 1.1)—chaining rapid Katana attacks builds up knockback and bonus damage at full force

Other items:

- "Dueling" enchantment (from version 1.1)—increases knockback resistance while holding Katana. Incompatible with "Relentless"
