Translocators

Translocators is an innovative mod that opens up new possibilities for moving items and liquids between adjacent containers. Developed in just 36 hours during the ModJam competition, this project earned first place thanks to its thoughtfulness and ease of use.

Core Features

The mod offers two types of transporters: for items and for liquids. Install them on the side of any container, and they will automatically move contents within a single block.

How It Works

• The protruding center part indicates the output direction — items and liquids move toward sides with the recessed center panel
• Priority is always given to outputs without redstone connection
• Resource distribution occurs evenly between all available outputs, with items selected from slots with the largest quantity

Configuration and Upgrades

Right-click on the transporter plate to open a configurable filter. The system supports various modifications:

• Add glowstone to move entire stacks at once
• Use redstone to control input/output with a signal
• Apply a diamond nugget (9 from one diamond in a crafting table) to activate regulation mode — the transporter will maintain a specified amount of items in the connected container

Regulation Mode

In diamond nugget mode:

• On the input side, only items needed to fill the container to the specified level are accepted
• On the output side, all items not matching the filter settings are removed

Signaling

Adding an iron ingot allows the transporter to send redstone signals:

• On the input side — signal activates when there's no room for suitable items
• On the output side — signal triggers when there are no available places to place matching items

Upgrade Management

Hold Shift and right-click on the plate to remove all installed upgrades and get them back.

Crafting System

Press the C key (default setting) while looking at a solid surface to place a crafting grid:

• The grid remains active for 20 seconds or 2 minutes after last use
• Right-click with items adds or removes them from the grid
• Pressing C again attempts to craft the item according to the recipe
