Trials Chambers [1.20.1 Backport]
This modification brings content from the Tricky Trials update to Minecraft version 1.20.1, offering completely reimagined trial chambers with unique structure and mechanics. Unlike the original, this version does not include the Breeze and Armadillo monsters.
Each trial complex is formed around a central chamber that automatically connects to an entrance/exit corridor and spacious hall rooms. At the end of the main route, you'll encounter a boss room with one of three possible opponents: Evoker, Illusioner, or Iceologer (from the Friends & Foes mod), accompanied by special illager trial spawners. There's also a small chance to encounter the unique boss Wroughtnaut from the Mowzie's Mobs addon.
Beyond the main chambers, all side branches generate completely randomly from an extensive collection of rooms connected by passages. The total number of additional chambers in one trial complex can range from 6 to over 20 depending on random generation. These dungeons spawn underground in the Overworld, starting at the deepslate level.
Trial spawners and vaults function similarly to the original version. Spawners are randomly selected according to room type from the available pool of enemies, and difficulty can be increased by activating the Bad Omen effect. Vaults provide 3 to 6 rewards from the loot table, with key items including new cosmetics and the Heavy Core - the component for crafting the Mace weapon.
In addition to trial mechanics, all tuff and copper block variants have become craftable, including a completely new polished tuff version of the copper bulb. This bulb is created first and can then be converted into the traditional copper bulb by adding copper ingots. Furthermore, the mod introduces additional changes: raid captains now drop Ominous Bottles instead of directly applying Bad Omen, new potion effects have been added, and much more.
Important Note: Versions below 2.0.0 are based on the outdated concept of "Trials Towers" - a similar backport that created small battle towers instead of massive trial chambers, with an obsolete set of blocks and code compared to the current version.
