Trimmed
The Trimmed mod provides a set of client-side systems that significantly expand the capabilities of using standard armor trims in Minecraft. This solution makes the game's built-in features more flexible and compatible with various modifications and custom datapacks.
External Item Model Overrides [prior to version 1.21.4]
Unlike Minecraft's standard system, where adding display conditions requires complete replacement of the original model, Trimmed offers a more elegant approach. You can create special JSON files in the models/item/overrides folder that allow you to configure various display options for any item. The mod itself includes two main types of overrides: NBT data checking and working with trim materials.
Client "Tags"
This system functions similarly to datapack tags but operates on the client side. Thanks to this, trim patterns can correctly interact with other datapacks that support integration with Trimmed.
Client "Maps"
A new JSON system based on unique value pairs ensures compatibility of trim materials with various datapacks using Trimmed's capabilities.
