Trinity

Trinity mod image

Trinity is an expansion for NuclearCraft that significantly enhances the nuclear arsenal in the game. This mod introduces various nuclear bombs with semi-realistic methods of their creation.

Important Compatibility Information

For versions starting with "1", NuclearCraft: Overhauled is required. Earlier versions of NuclearCraft are not supported. If you are using NuclearCraft before the Overhauled update, choose the latest version starting with "0".

Main Features

ICBM Integration - ICBM's nuclear missiles and explosives now trigger a Trinity nuclear explosion instead of the standard ICBM explosion.

Nuclear Weapon Variety - 18 different types of nuclear bombs are available, created from nine different fissile isotopes.

Explosive Materials - Two types of conventional explosives activated by redstone, which are used in creating nuclear bombs.

Specialized Bombs

  • Salted bombs leave behind extremely high radiation levels
  • Dirty bombs appear as ordinary TNT blocks but conceal a radioactive surprise
  • Antimatter bombs possess all the power of a nuclear explosion without radioactivity (currently without crafting recipe)

Thermonuclear Weapons - Multiblock bombs whose explosion effects depend on the blocks used in their construction.

Customizable Bombs - Four standard and four salted fission bombs without default recipes, intended for modpacks with the ability to add recipes via CraftTweaker.

Realistic Creation - Semi-realistic recipes include subcritical isotope spheres, compression charges, and several chemical processes.

Informative Tooltips - Pop-up tooltips show the size of the crater and the radioactive wasteland that forms around it.

Remote Detonator - Allows detonating bombs from a safe distance (more than 2 times the crater radius).

Radioactive Aftermath - Special radioactive deposits remain after the explosion: trinitite, as well as highly radioactive sand and soil from salted bombs.

Flexible Configuration - Full configurability of explosion size and radioactive contamination radius.

Building a Thermonuclear Bomb

Step 1: Place any nuclear bomb. The larger the explosion radius of the original bomb, the more powerful the thermonuclear explosion will be.

Step 2: Build a column of three thermonuclear bomb cores above the nuclear bomb. They must be vertically aligned so that the plutonium rods inside them connect.

Step 3: Surround the thermonuclear cores with a "tamper" made of reflective, fissionable, or salting blocks. Reflective blocks are practically inert and only slightly increase explosion power. Fissionable blocks significantly amplify the explosion. Salting blocks absorb part of the explosion's energy and convert it into extremely radioactive fallout.

Step 4: Connect the nuclear detonator to the nuclear bomb and activate it. If all steps are performed correctly, a very powerful thermonuclear explosion will occur.

Future Plans

  • Exotic bombs that break spacetime to various degrees
  • New fallout system and global contamination
