True POWER

This is an addon for the SlashBlade:Resharped modification that fundamentally overhauls combat mechanics, making it more dynamic and responsive.

Benefits of the Modification

While the basic version of SlashBlade: Resharped draws inspiration from Vergil's combat system from Devil May Cry 5, it still contains numerous shortcomings - from inconvenient controls to problems with key press registration. This mod completely replaces the Resharped combat system, aiming to create a truly "DMC-like" gameplay - True POWER.

Recommended to use alongside the Shoulder Surfing Reloaded mod for better field of view in combat.

Key Features

(Parameters marked with ⚙ can be configured via configuration files)

Concentration System

• ⚙ Automatic transition to the Powered state upon reaching high concentration levels (default - SSS rank)
• ⚙ Reduced rank points earned from attacks
• ⚙ Temporary concentration level increase after killing enemies. Permanent points can be obtained by performing the sword sheathing animation
• Rank points can only increase once per game tick when dealing damage
• High concentration levels increase damage from SlashBlade, low levels decrease it
• Increased point thresholds for achieving S, SS and SSS ranks

Combos and Techniques

• ⚙ Player movement restriction during execution of certain combinations
• Repeating the same combo temporarily blocks rank point gain
• ⚙ Shift + (Back → Forward) + LMB/RMB combination executes Void Slash (similar to DMC5)
• In Powered state, Void Slash deals double damage and pulls in enemies when sheathing sword
• ⚙ In Powered state, the Judgement Cut technique hits up to two additional nearby targets
• The final strike of Combo C attaches a Mirage Blade to the target, which explodes and launches the enemy when sheathing sword (increases to 6 blades in Powered state)
• In Powered state, the Rapid Slash technique attaches mirage blades to all hit enemies, which explode when sheathing weapon
• Adjusted damage for most combos and improved optimization for certain skills

Controls

• Trick Up activates by pressing the special move key without directional input
• Heavy Rain Swords - Shift + (Back → Forward) + mirage blade summon key combination (registration as in DMC5)

Miscellaneous

• Additional damage bonus when using SlashBlade in Powered state
• ⚙ Camera sensitivity increases 4 times when aiming
• Field of view (FOV) remains unchanged when holding SlashBlade
• Cannot crouch or swim with activated SlashBlade

Experimental Features

• ⚙ Certain combos propel the player forward (as in DMC5). All experimental options are disabled by default

The mod is distributed under the open GPL v3.0 license and can be used in modpacks and servers with compliance to license terms.
