Rune Mechanics
Obtaining Runes
Elemental aspect runes can be acquired from corresponding mobs - each aspect has its own creature sources. The base drop rate is 10%, and all progression parameters can be modified through configuration files.

Infusion onto Armor
Runes function similarly to enchantments but apply exclusively to armor pieces. To apply a rune, use an anvil by placing the armor item and the desired rune - the process requires 30 experience levels. Infusions are preserved when upgrading armor to netherite and are compatible with modded armor.
Effects and Elemental Synergies
Inferum - Fire Element
Base Effect: Chance to ignite enemies with melee or ranged attacks. Boosts fire damage.
Frostfire (Inferum + Glacius): Burning enemies gradually freeze - each tick of burning increases slow effect. Searing Earth (Inferum + Terra): Each ignited enemy grants you an absorption shield. Blazing Tempest (Inferum + Tempestas): Attacks can trigger electric arcs that jump to nearby enemies and spread fire. Mystic Conflagration (Inferum + Arcani): Significantly boosted fire damage, enemies killed by fire explode dealing area damage. Hungering Flame (Inferum + Umbre): Burning enemies heal you for a portion of damage dealt.
Glacius - Ice Element
Base Effect: Inflicts slow or freezing effect on enemies when damaged
Frostfire (Glacius + Inferum): Burning enemies gradually freeze - each tick of burning increases slow effect. Glacial Goliath (Glacius + Terra): Maximum freeze level on an enemy grants you equivalent protection levels. Storming Blizzard (Glacius + Tempestas): Attacks can summon mini-blizzard, further slowing enemies in the area. Arcane Chill (Glacius + Arcani): All player-caused slows are enhanced, and frozen enemies become weaker. Shadow Frost (Glacius + Umbre): Slowing enemies grants you speed for each frozen enemy nearby.
Terra - Earth Element
Base Effect: Additional armor and passive health regeneration
Searing Earth (Terra + Inferum): Each ignited enemy grants you an absorption shield. Glacial Goliath (Terra + Glacius): Maximum freeze level on an enemy grants you equivalent protection levels. Nature's Wrath (Terra + Tempestas): When hit, releases shockwave that knocks back attackers and briefly stuns them. Mystic Grounding (Terra + Arcani): All armor is boosted, taking damage has chance to grant Absorption equal to half damage taken. Splintering Bedrock (Terra + Umbre): Portion of damage taken is negated and reflected back at attackers.
Tempestas - Storm Element
Base Effect: Minor knockback and chance to stun enemies with electric shock
Blazing Tempest (Tempestas + Inferum): Attacks can trigger electric arcs that jump to nearby enemies and spread fire. Storming Blizzard (Tempestas + Glacius): Attacks can summon mini-blizzard, further slowing enemies in the area. Nature's Wrath (Tempestas + Terra): When hit, releases shockwave that knocks back attackers and briefly stuns them. Thundering Boon (Tempestas + Arcani): Increased stun duration, additionally stunned enemies are struck by lightning. Gathering Singularity (Tempestas + Umbre): Stunning enemies creates Singularity that attracts other enemies and scatters them upon expiration.
Arcani - Magic Element
Base Effect: Boosts all magical damage and potion effects
Mystic Conflagration (Arcani + Inferum): Significantly boosted fire damage, enemies killed by fire explode dealing area damage. Arcane Chill (Arcani + Glacius): All player-caused slows are enhanced, and frozen enemies become weaker. Mystic Grounding (Arcani + Terra): All armor is boosted, taking damage has chance to grant Absorption equal to half damage taken.
