Underground Biomes
This mod is an adaptation of the original UndergroundBiomesConstructs for Minecraft versions 1.12.2 and later. It fundamentally transforms the underground world, making it more diverse and realistic.
Main Features
The mod adds 24 completely new types of stone, divided into three geological categories: metamorphic, igneous, and sedimentary rocks. Each type has unique characteristics - for example, granite takes slightly longer to mine than regular stone, while lignite can serve as a budget alternative to coal.
Integration with the Game World
All ores and structures from vanilla Minecraft and other mods automatically adapt to the local stone variety during world generation. This creates a harmonious and natural environment where deposits blend organically with the surrounding rock.
Block Variety
Each of the 24 stone types is available in numerous variations:
- Cobblestone (except for sedimentary rocks)
- Gravel
- Sand
- Sandstone
- Clay
- Monster eggs
- Overgrown stone
- Bricks
- Mossy bricks and cobblestone
- Slabs
- Walls
- Stairs
- Buttons
Additional Features
The mod supports integration with popular addons, including speleothems from Quark. A simple yet powerful configuration system allows you to easily add ores from other mods via JSON files, disable specific block variants, and customize the mod's behavior to your preferences.
While exploring caves, you may discover fossils, adding an element of archaeological finds to the gameplay.
