Unidentified Items - Mysterious Finds in Minecraft

Transform ordinary loot into mysterious Unidentified Items, then reveal their true nature using Identify Scrolls.

Main Features

This mod fundamentally changes the loot acquisition system. Items from loot tables can now drop in an unidentified state, hiding their true value and properties. To discover what you've obtained, you'll need to use special Identify Scrolls - simply drag and drop them onto the mysterious item in your inventory.

Flexible Configuration

The mod offers complete control over the system through JSON configuration files. You can:

• Enable or disable the unidentified items feature
• Set the probability of such items appearing
• Specify specific item IDs or tags that can become unidentified

Obtaining Identify Scrolls

It's important to note that Identify Scrolls initially have no crafting recipes and don't drop from loot. You need to manually add them to your pack through custom recipes, loot tables, or datapacks.

Compatibility

The mod works excellently with Tiered and Tiered More mods, expanding their functionality with the mysterious finds system.
