Unifix - Material Unification in Minecraft
Are you annoyed by mods that add identical resources under different names? Have you encountered situations where copper, tin, or other common materials exist in multiple versions from different modifications?
Unifix solves this problem elegantly - it automatically unifies recipe outputs based on item tags and forces items within the tag to adhere to a specific standard.
How the System Works
When the game starts for the first time, a JSON file with preset configurations for common materials such as copper, tin, and others is created. This file is located at <instance>/config/unifix.json.
Every supported recipe in the game is processed through this list during both initial startup and when the /reload command is executed.
Configuration Parameters
The configuration file contains groups in the following format:
- tag: defines groups of items that need to be unified
- prefer: specifies the standard item that all elements from the tag will be converted to
- exclude: items in this array are excluded from the conversion process
The conversion process runs early enough that unwanted recipes can still be removed using CraftTweaker, KubeJS, or other mods if necessary.
Adding your own settings is very simple - just create a new group similar to the existing ones in the configuration file.
