Untitled Duck Mod (Fabric) - Ducks and Geese in Minecraft

This mod adds realistic ducks and geese to Minecraft, bringing your game world to life. The modification works on both Fabric and Forge thanks to the use of geckolib and architectury libraries.
What You'll Need
For the mod to work properly, you need to install the geckolib library. If you're using Fabric, you'll also need to install fabric-api.
Mod Features
Ducks
These cute birds breed using seeds, lay eggs, and drop feathers like regular chickens. But unlike them, ducks love swimming in water, grooming themselves, and dipping their heads underwater. The most amusing thing is that they start dancing when a music disc is playing nearby!
Duck Sack
You can create a special sack for transporting ducks, similar to how fish are carried in buckets.
Geese
Geese breed using various seeds, but they love kelp and seagrass the most, which can be used to tame them. Like dogs, tamed geese will protect you from hostile mobs.
After taming, you can make geese sit and give them weapons. These birds know how to defend themselves - if attacked, they'll remember the offender and attack in groups. However, they'll forgive you if you feed them by right-clicking or throwing food.
Geese scare away illagers just like cats scare away creepers. Sometimes they may try to steal an item from your hand, but they'll happily exchange it for food, so you won't have to kill them.
Goose Foot
This item drops from geese and is used to create a potion of intimidation that scares away illagers (works only in survival mode!).
Known Issues
Currently, there are problems with duck and goose animations when using shaders with the iris mod. This is related to issues in the geckolib library that may be fixed in the future.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do ducks and geese spawn?
They spawn in all biomes but require a grass block. This allows them to spawn in modded biomes, similar to how standard Minecraft animals appear.
How to configure spawn rates?
The configuration file for Fabric is located at .minecraft/config/untitledduckmod.json. You can change the values of duck_spawn_weight and goose_spawn_weight to adjust spawn frequency. If you have ModMenu installed, you can use the graphical interface to change these parameters.
Will there be support for older versions?
No, updates will only be released for the latest versions of Minecraft.
Will there be a port to version 1.19?
Yes! But we want to wait until Mojang officially releases versions 1.19.1 or 1.19.2.
