Unusual Opal
This mod ensures seamless compatibility between two popular Minecraft add-ons, combining opals from Opalescence and Unusual Prehistory into a unified system, creating a fully functional new material with enhanced capabilities.
Ore Generation Changes
All previously existing opal ores from Unusual Prehistory have been completely removed from the game. Instead, a new mineral variety has been added - Fossilized Opal, which extremely rarely spawns within regular opal clusters at deepslate level. This ore has a fragile structure - when mined, it may drop as opal crystals or, with a certain chance, transform into fossils while maintaining the same probabilities as the original ores.

Item Updates

The color-changing effect, originally exclusive to regular opal, has now been extended to a wider range of objects: fossilized opal, opalescent pearls, and throwing shuriken stars. The appearance of crystals from Opalescence has been unified - replaced with the opal chunk texture from Unusual Prehistory to achieve visual consistency across all usage aspects. All crafting recipes that previously required opal from Unusual Prehistory have been adapted to work with materials from Opalescence. Items removed from the gameplay have been excluded from the creative inventory and no longer appear in the JEI menu.
