Variating Mobs - Diversity in the World of Mobs
This mod introduces an element of randomness to the characteristics of creatures inhabiting your world. Each mob spawns with unique parameters - some zombies may be more agile than others, possess increased health, or have different weights. These changes affect almost all living creatures, with the exception of the player themselves.
Occasionally, special individuals appear among ordinary mobs, referred to as Powerful ones. They significantly surpass their counterparts in speed, strength, and endurance. They can be recognized by the characteristic blue flames surrounding their bodies. Such creatures most often appear during nighttime. Defeating them brings not only additional experience but also a rare resource - Powerful Dust.
New Items
Powerful Dust - drops from special mobs. It can be consumed, causing an explosion, or used as a weapon against enemies. Sometimes, upon hitting ordinary mobs, they also become powerful. The dust is also suitable for compost and as fuel. But the most valuable use is adding it to baked goods to obtain mutational effects!
Altering Cookie - made from a regular cookie and powerful dust. Provides a weak mutational effect lasting about 50 seconds. Pleasant with a tangy taste!
Mutational Bread - created from bread and three portions of powerful dust. Provides a stronger mutational effect for 3 minutes, can be consumed even when full. Hot and spicy!
Game Rules
Game rules currently serve as this mod's configuration!
entityNormalVariability - determines the degree of variability in ordinary mobs' characteristics upon spawning. A value of 2 doubles the parameter range.
entityPowerfulVariability - regulates the enhancement range of powerful mobs. A higher value makes them even stronger. Default is set to 1.
entityPowerfulnessRarity - controls the rarity of powerful mobs appearing. A value of 0 completely disables their appearance.
dragonEggIncreasesVariation - upon obtaining the dragon egg achievement, variability rules increase by approximately double. Disabled by default.
New Effect
Mutations - temporarily change your characteristics, making you heavy and massive or light and weak, or providing intermediate states. The effect level influences the degree of changes. If you don't like the result, drink honey to remove the effect.
Size differences in mobs will be added after version 1.20.1. Enjoy the game!
