This helpful companion modification for The Vault mod from the Vault Hunters mod pack fixes several technical issues and adds a range of improvements for greater convenience and gameplay balance.
If you activate changes affecting the specialization system, it's recommended to perform a complete reset of all specializations after installing this mod.
Configuration
Settings are configured through a server configuration file. To modify parameters, follow these steps:
- Create a new world and enter it / start the server
- Close the world / stop the server
- Find the configuration file at
saves/<world name>/serverconfig/the_vault-tweaks-server.toml(for singleplayer) or<world name>/serverconfig/the_vault-tweaks-server.toml(for server) - Make the necessary changes. The file contains detailed comments for each setting
By default, all bug fixes are activated, while balance changes are disabled.
Bug Fixes
- Fake players work again with the research system (for example, routers + botany pots, AE2 auto crafting)
- Fake players can place Vault Rocks on the altar again
- Auto crafting in AE2 no longer requires manually assigning all research to the fake player
Various Improvements
- Added tags for new The Vault trash items found in loot chests (
the_vault:trash) - Added the ability to create vault portals from arbitrary blocks
- For all altar requirements, the following tags have been added:

Balance Changes
- Removed enchanting cost from Vault Enchanter
- Vault Enchanters now offer Fortune 5, Fortunate specialization removed
- Budding Crystal growth time reduced (Sky Vaults only)
- Reduced altar infusion time (period between redstone signal and crystal detachment)
- Improved parameters of Junk Upgrades (Junk Management) tiers 1 and 2
- Added support for Reaping jewels (they still cannot be obtained without using commands or config changes!)
