Velocity Based Damage

New Approach to Combat System

This mod completely changes the damage mechanics in melee combat. Instead of standard fixed values, damage is now calculated based on the speed at which the attacker approaches the target.

How It Works

When you move towards an opponent, the damage from your attacks increases significantly. The faster you approach the target, the more powerful your strikes become. Conversely - if you retreat or the target moves away from you, the inflicted damage decreases.

Strategic Implications

This system creates completely new tactical opportunities. Now zombies jumping from heights can deal colossal damage due to their falling speed. Aggressive combat style with constant advancement becomes more effective, while defensive tactics require reconsideration.

Limitations

Currently, the system works only for melee combat. Arrows, tridents, and other types of ranged weapons are not affected by the changes and retain standard damage mechanics.
