Villager Comfort - Resident Comfort
The Villager Comfort modification is a lightweight add-on that introduces realistic changes to the trading mechanics with village residents. The main idea is that the cost of goods now directly depends on the comfort level in which the trader lives.
How the Comfort System Works
Each resident now has a comfort indicator that affects the prices of all available deals. This works similarly to price reduction after curing a zombie villager in the vanilla version of the game. With maximum discomfort, the cost of goods can reach almost a stack of emeralds, while in comfortable conditions the price drops to a few emeralds. This mechanism scales with base prices and is fully configurable.
Factors Affecting Comfort
Sleeping Area
Having your own bed is a basic requirement for comfortable living. A resident quickly begins to experience discomfort if they cannot get proper sleep. The size of the bedroom also matters - the more spacious the room, the better. The number of neighbors sleeping in the same room affects the level of privacy - the fewer people in the room, the more comfortable the resident. Natural lighting through windows and separate placement of the workplace and bedroom also increase the level of satisfaction.
Workspace
Requirements for the workplace are similar to the bedroom: a spacious, well-lit room without crowding positively affects the resident's mood and, accordingly, the prices of their goods.
Lifestyle
Residents need to spend at least a minute outdoors during the day and rest regularly at night. Long periods without sleep or being outdoors reduce comfort levels. Conversely, the more days pass without monster attacks, the safer and more comfortable life seems to the trader.
Settings
All listed parameters are fully configurable, including the ability to go beyond logical limitations at the player's discretion.
The modification is in early development, so there may be bugs.
