Void Monster
The Void Monster mod adds a terrifying creature to the game that dwells in the void beneath the bedrock. Although the monster cannot physically break through the stone barrier, its presence is constantly felt through ominous growls, grunts, and a dark aura emanating from the depths. This creates an entirely new sense of anxiety and foreboding during deep cave exploration, making the resource gathering process much more tense.
However, if you find a gap in the bedrock or find yourself in a dimension like the Deep Dark where natural passages to the void exist, the monster gains the ability to enter your world and attack.
This enemy poses a serious threat - its strikes deal significant damage (two or three hits are enough to kill an unarmored player). When damaged, the monster periodically regenerates health, becoming invulnerable to attacks during this time. If you attempt to attack it, the creature will charge at you, usually managing to land another blow. Each successful hit on the player restores half a heart of health to the monster and applies a blindness effect for 10 seconds. The Nether version of this creature also sets its victim on fire.
To gain an advantage in battle, the monster consumes nearby light sources, causing them to drop as blocks.
Defeating the monster starts a timer for spawning a new creature in the void and provides several useful items as loot.
The mod includes a configuration file that allows excluding specific dimensions from the monster's spawn rules. This feature is primarily intended to prevent spawning in void-type MystCraft ages and has no effect when excluding the Overworld, Nether, or Extra Utilities' Deep Dark.
