Voided Enlightenment
This addon for the Enlightend mod is a modification that primarily removes certain elements — I reject the proposed "enlightenment" and offer my own version.
I like many of Enlightend's features, but some don't match my preferences, and others, in my opinion, can be expanded. Additionally, the current version of the mod contains bugs. Although fixes are promised in the next major update, it also plans to remove features I like and add those I don't, so such development doesn't suit me.

Removals
- Disabled Enlightend's custom End fog due to jarring transitions and visual incompatibilities.
- Ender Chests use the standard loot table and recipe instead of the Enlightend variant requiring malachite.
- Disabled one-time in-game advertising for each world.
- Liquid ooze is no longer a swimmable fluid, is not renewable through adjacent sources, and slightly slows movement.
- Disabled Void Leviathan spawning until a way is found to tweak it without making it a boring "damage sponge".
- There is a configuration option to prevent their spawning from being blocked.
- Hoppers no longer break when horizontally adjacent to nuclear furnaces.
- Changed the crafting recipe for adamantite gear: now requires diamond instead of iron, as it is more comparable to netherite.
- Standing next to glacier blocks is now safe, only the top is dangerous.
- Removed the creative mode tab "Enlightend: Compatibility". Items from other mods added to this tab should appear in Enlightend's main tab.
Fixes
- Enlightend potion recipes are now visible in recipe viewers like JEI.

- Several items now have proper crafting remainders.
- The Xenon Laser can now be toggled between burning and freezing modes and works on active lasers.
- Fixed issues with right-click interactions not triggering.
- Prevented non-nuclear fuel items from being placed in the nuclear furnace's fuel slot via item transfer capabilities.

- Springleaf no longer has a solid hitbox throughout the entire block height.
- Iridescent Bismuth Gleam can now be crafted shapelessly.
- Improved discoverability of the Dash Leggings keybind by moving it to its own category instead of the vanilla "Gameplay" section.
- Natural ooze rain no longer enters a state where it never starts, which could occur before a player even reached the End.
- Made ooze fluid interactions more consistent.
- Ooze Bucket can now be used with dispensers.
- Ooze Bottle can now be obtained via dispensers.
- Fixed the issue where the Flash Bomb could persist on the hit entity and continuously detonate.
- Fixed the issue where Fumesplat did not drop Splatter Gland.
- The "see-through lava" feature from various mods (Alex's Mobs: Lava Vision; L_Ender's Cataclysm: Ignitium Helmet, Create: Netherite Diving Helmet) now works properly when combined with Enlightend.
- Fog from Alex's Caves now works properly when combined with Enlightend.
- Fixed an incidental crash with Presence Footsteps.
- Replaced Enlightend's Adamantite Knife with one that truly depends on Farmer's Delight: it now cuts grass without damage, is enchantable, and will work with addons requiring a KnifeItem.
- Stone-based blocks from Enlightend now actually drop when mined with complex modded tools (Tetra, Silent Gear).
- Consistency changes related to tool requirements/loot tables.
- Fixes/consistency changes related to the language file.
- Volume/consistency changes related to sounds.
- Added entities from other mods to Enlightend's bubble_immune tag to prevent serious issues.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can this mod be used in my modpack? A: Yes, but note that our license does not allow directly including the mod files in your pack.
Q: Will you add support for Enlightend versions past 5.0.14 when they are released? A: No. I would have to rewrite my entire mod for a version of Enlightend that I personally won't use. Ultimately, this is a "fix things so I can enjoy them" mod that I just happen to share.
Q: Why is this a rewrite? Why won't you be using it?
- Lixir (Enlightend developer) stated that the entire mod will be rewritten. So I would have to do the same. Making invasive changes to mods created in MCreator is already painful, and having to do it all over again doesn't appeal to me.
- Many of the bugs I fixed have been/will be fixed in the next Enlightend release.
- Some features I like are slated for removal.
- I either really dislike or am indifferent to the new features that have already been announced.
- It will require and use VMinus. I've seen VMinus semi-frequently cause crashes with other mods, and the design mindset associated with it doesn't work for me; what it does might be fine for modpacks, but a single mod depending on it shouldn't dictate these things unless that's the mod's sole purpose, which is not the case here.
