VoidHearted - Explore the Boundary Between Life and Death

The VoidHearted mod draws inspiration from the metroidvania genre but with a unique liminal twist. When a character dies, there's a chance that their Shade will appear - a personified embodiment of lost experience and soul. Defeating this entity can yield 1 to 3 Shadow Essence particles, which serve as material for crafting various items whose recipes the player must discover independently.

From the collected Shadow Essence, a special device called the anomalator can be created, granting access to the Purgatory dimension. This mystical reality exists on the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead. By exploring its depths, one can find a way back, allowing this space to be used as an unlimited territory for construction, resource storage, or organizing production processes.

Although traveling between dimensions currently doesn't carry negative consequences, one shouldn't become overly confident in these journeys - it's unknown what surprises might await brave explorers in the future.
