🪄 Wands & Wizardry

Wands & Wizardry is a magic modification inspired by the wand and spell system from the game Noita. Players can find magical wands underground, in the Nether, and in the End. Each wand has unique characteristics and contains a random set of spells. Spells can also be found in some loot chests.

Wand Crafting Table

For modifying wands, a special crafting table is used, which can be crafted from polished deepslate, lapis lazuli, a crafting table, and a diamond. This table allows adding and extracting spells from wands.

Spell Types

The modification includes five different categories of spells, each serving specific functions: projectiles, projectile modifiers, multiple spells, utility spells, and special spells.

Projectiles form the basis of most wands, launching projectiles that can be used for dealing damage, digging, movement, and other actions.

Projectile modifiers are placed behind projectile spells and alter their behavior (for example, acceleration increases speed, homing makes the projectile fly towards hostile mobs).

Multiple spells increase the number of spells cast simultaneously. For instance, a double spell placed behind two spark bolts will launch them at the same time, rather than one after the other. If a projectile modifier is placed before a multiple spell, all projectiles in that spell will be affected by that modifier.

Utility spells serve various auxiliary purposes: long-distance spell launches the next projectile 4 blocks in the direction the player is looking, all-seeing eye gives the caster night vision and highlights nearby entities, summon platform creates a temporary magical platform, and so on.

Special spells cannot be found in regular wands or loot chests—they possess immense power, but obtaining them requires more effort compared to other spells.

Limited Spells

Some spells have a limited number of uses, so they must be used sparingly. It is also possible to create a wand recharging station, which allows restoring all limited spells in a wand every 10 minutes.

Additional Features

Wand pedestal is a craftable block for displaying and storing favorite wands. By right-clicking the pedestal with a wand in hand, you will place the wand on it; right-clicking the pedestal with a wand will take it back into your inventory.
