Warper
This datapack introduces the completely new Warper race for the Origins mod, providing access to unique abilities, skills, and vulnerabilities. Representatives of this race lead a nomadic lifestyle and possess mastery of interdimensional travel and teleportation, but these powers require careful handling, otherwise the consequences can be unpredictable.
The project was created as a reworked version of the original Warper by Slayer, but over time evolved into an independent development with many unique features.
Key Warper Capabilities:
- Quick teleportation - you instantly move in the direction you're looking for up to 40 blocks
- Interdimensional journeys - hold a block from the required dimension to travel between worlds
- Displacement system - you have a special Displacement bar that fills when using abilities or taking damage. Reaching maximum displacement level is fatal
- Displacement recovery - you can consciously reduce displacement level, but during this time you become particularly vulnerable to attacks
- Side effects of interdimensional travel - moving between dimensions causes nausea and temporary vulnerability
- Visual changes - your character acquires a purple skin hue, and at high displacement levels, trembling appears
These are just the basic features - you'll discover the full range of capabilities during gameplay.
It's worth noting that most of the code and design are original developments, although inspiration was partially taken from Slayer's work. This is an continuously evolving project - the Warper origin concept leaves room for various improvements and additions, which will be complemented by bug fixes and version updates.
