Way to the Other Worlds

This mod was cancelled and remade as a new mod called Eternal Tales. You can download Way to the Other Worlds if you're interested in how the old version of Eternal Tales looked, or if you want to play on version 1.12.2.

Mod Overview

Way to the Other Worlds is a massive modification that adds numerous new worlds, creatures, weapons, and mechanics. The mod offers a huge amount of content: 118 blocks, 264 items, 8 armor types and several pairs of boots, 3 biomes, 42 mobs, 19 food types, 59 tools (including swords), 26 firearms, and much more. Some items have animations!

Main Worlds and Dimensions

Normal World

• Return Ticket — allows you to return from any dimension to the overworld. Drops from many creatures of other worlds or crafted from a map and flisotuachewn.
• Dark Upgrade Kit — improves some weapons. Drops from the Darker.
• Plates — used for crafting mechanisms. There are stone, iron, gold, luxtarr, aquatura, diamond, darkham, lapis lazuli, flisotuachewn, and obsidian plates.
• Cores — cleansing, crystallizing, melting, crushing, and grinding cores are used to create mechanisms.
• Mugs — regular, basalt, lava, and acid mug (basalt mug + water + uranium).
• Experience Booster — increases the player's experience level by 2. Drops from some mobs.

Ores and Materials

• Luxtarr — ore whose items are slightly weaker than diamond.
• Darkham — slightly better than diamond.
• Aquatura — ore generated only in ocean or river biomes.
• Flisotuachewn — ore that doesn't have armor or tools, used in many crafts and as a pink dye.
• Uranium — mined only in the volcanic valley. When in inventory, applies radiation effect.
• Ruby — items made from it are better than diamond.
• Rusty Ingot — drops from Rusty Golem.
• Ice Crystal — drops from Bows. Can be used to make a sword.
• Taiga Crystal — drops from the Ekatebrina boss. Can be used to make a sword that applies slowness.
• Graphite — made in an alchemical furnace from six coal. Can be used as fuel.

Structures

• Birch Castle — structure that appears on plains and in forests. Contains several useful items.
• Spruce Castle — alternative version of the birch castle, only in the taiga.
• Lost Statue — structure in the desert.
• Spring — structure consisting of a regular tree and water below it. Distinguished by a large number of flowers around the tree. The spring block can generate water indefinitely.

Nether

• Nightmare — drops from Night Mages, Knights, and the Night Queen boss. Tools are made from it.
• Wither Bones — drop from Wither Skeletons. Can be processed in a crafting window, pestle and mortar, or grinder into wither bone meal.

Comets

A world consisting of flying islands in a bright pink and blue style. The portal can be found as a building high in the sky.

Purgatorium

A dark dimension with the remains of colossal creatures on the surface. The sky is blood red. The portal to the dimension is generated after the death of the Night Queen boss.

Eden

A paradise sunny garden on flying islands.

Armor and Footwear

• Luhsam Armor — made from luxtarr and darkham. Defense: 4, 8, 7, 3.
• Nightura Armor — made from nightmares and aquatura. Defense: 4, 9, 7, 4.
• Sky Armor — made from skylite and aerolite. Defense: 6, 9, 8, 5.
• Thorn Armor — drops only from Fat. Defense: 6, 10, 9, 5.
• Bloody Armor — made from blood stone and nightmares. The chestplate applies regeneration level 4. Defense: 6, 9, 8, 5.
• Nightingale Armor — made from nightmares and phantom souls. The chestplate gives regeneration, strength level 5, and speed level 6. Defense: 7, 10, 10, 6.
• White Gold Armor — defense: 4, 8, 8, 4.

Footwear

• Dirtus Boots — defense 3. Create grass blocks under the player. Useful when traveling to Comets or Eden.
• Slippers — made from wool.
• Rabbit Slippers — made from slippers, rabbit hide, and rabbit feet.

Speed Boots

• Valkyrie Boots — made from Valkyrie ring and heavenly boots.
• Quicksilver's Boots.
• Flash's Boots.
• Accelerator's Boots — starting with these boots, subsequent ones are not crafted.
• Makkrui's Boots.
• Land Arsonist's Boots — besides speed, set fire to blocks below.
• Adventurer's Boots — made from land arsonist's boots, but don't set fire to blocks. Speed is the same.

Weapons

Great Swords

• Guardian Sword — drops from Comet Ent. Deals more damage than it should.
• Underground Sword — drops from the Fallen Titan. May deal more damage than it should. Currently the most powerful sword in the mod.
• The Greatest Sword.

Staves and Magic Items

• Terraformation Staff — destroys blocks and can obtain bedrock. Bought from a merchant in the normal world.
• Valkyrie Ring — made from aerolite ingots. Gives speed level 10.
• Pyrostaff — applies fire resistance.
• Light Staff — gives regeneration.
• Glow Obese — gives night vision.
• Comlocation Staff — teleports you to where you're looking, but if the block you're looking at is beyond 100 blocks, teleports you into the air.
• Incredible Staff — destroys mobs, but not all.
• Sky Staff — gives speed. Sold by merchants in Eden.

Firearms

The mod adds 26 types of firearms, including pistols, shotguns, rocket launchers, and bows. Some examples:

• Rocket's Gun — drops from Halfworlders. Shoots energy bullets. Damage: 5.
• Brinathor — drops from monster with white eyes. Shoots luxtarr bullets. Damage: 10.
• Doodlick — drops from comet unicorns. Shoots aerolite bullets. Damage: 12.
• Red Lightning — sold by Purgatorium merchants. Shoots bloody arrows. Damage: 39.

Mechanisms

• Alchemical Furnace — allows converting rusty ingot into iron, six coal into graphite, and six graphite into diamond.
• Pestle and Mortar — block that, when pressed with certain items, produces another item.
• Crusher — automated block with coal and pestle and mortar functions.

Biomes

• Black Sails — biome consisting of black sails, source of tea.
• Dead Plains — completely composed of salty land where nothing grows.
• Volcanic Valley — biome consisting of basalt and volcanoes. Underground you can find uranium ore, and in the volcanoes themselves many other various ores.

Food and Plants

• Salted meat (all kinds) and fish.
• Meat Feast — combine all kinds of salted meat and fish in a bowl.
• Mug of water, milk, tea, mushroom tea.
• Burrito — made from meat, chili, and bread.
• Flameflower — sometimes grows on stone in the normal world.
• Tea — seeds drop from grass in black soil.
• Chili Pepper — plant that, when consumed, applies chili effect.
