Welcome Message (Legacy Fabric)
Welcome Message (Legacy Fabric)
This Minecraft mod is a convenient server tool that automatically sends welcome messages to players when they join the world. You can configure three different messages, each with its own color and the ability to be clickable with URL support.
The mod requires the installation of the Collective (Fabric) library and Fabric API. Please note that this is the version for Fabric 1.16 and 1.17 - separate releases are available for newer versions and Forge.
Main Features
By default, messages are only sent when connecting to a dedicated server, but this setting can be changed in the configuration. Each of the three messages can be left empty if not needed.
Configuration Settings
onlyRunOnDedicatedServers (default = true): Determines whether the mod should only run on dedicated servers. When enabled, messages are not sent in singleplayer worlds.
sendEmptyLineBeforeFirstMessage (default = true): Adds an empty line before the first message to visually separate the welcome from other chat messages.
messageOneText (default = "Welcome to the server!"): The first message a player receives when joining. Can be left empty.
messageOneColourIndex (default = 2, min 0, max 15): Color of the first message: 0: black, 1: dark_blue, 2: dark_green, 3: dark_aqua, 4: dark_red, 5: dark_purple, 6: gold, 7: gray, 8: dark_gray, 9: blue, 10: green, 11: aqua, 12: red, 13: light_purple, 14: yellow, 15: white
messageOneOptionalURL (default = ""): If a link is specified, the entire message becomes clickable.
messageTwoText (default = "Downloaded from CurseForge! This is a clickable link."): Second message for players. Can be left empty.
messageTwoColourIndex (default = 14, min 0, max 15): Color of the second message (same color values as above).
messageTwoOptionalURL (default = "https://curseforge.com/members/serilum/projects"): Link for the clickable second message.
messageThreeText (default = "You should probably edit this in the config :)"): Third message for players. Can be left empty.
messageThreeColourIndex (default = 15, min 0, max 15): Color of the third message (same color values as above).
messageThreeOptionalURL (default = ""): Link for the clickable third message.

The mod can be freely used in any modpack as long as the download remains within the CurseForge ecosystem.
