Whiplash: Magic Dungeons [FABRIC]
Whiplash: Magic Dungeons is a Fabric mod that populates your world with intricate maze-like dungeons.
Items and Their Uses
From left to right:
Escape Rope — instantly teleports you to the surface directly above your current position. Crafted from 4 vines and a slimeball, perfect for quick dungeon escapes.
Dungeon Map — the key item for generating dungeons. To create it, combine a map, blaze powder, and a feather, then right-click to activate. A dungeon will spawn at a random location between coordinates -10000 -10000 and 10000 10000 at Y level 20.
Magic Crystals
Magic crystals possess a power level that adds extra damage to your standard attack damage. This additional power works with any weapon from other mods that uses the damage() method and is unavoidable.
Crystals have elements (earth, water, fire). If your element is effective against an enemy, damage doubles. If ineffective, damage is halved. With neutral interaction, damage equals the crystal's power level.
Dungeons
Example dungeon entrance (type: earth)
Inside dungeons, walls and floors are unbreakable. Holes in the floor contain "solid void" that deals void damage to players who step on them. These areas are also indestructible.
Dynamic Potion Spell Books
These books feature randomly generated covers. Each contains a unique spell consisting of:
- Potion effect
- Power (potion strength)
- Drain (amount of XP levels consumed per second of casting)
- Element (currently only affects coloration)
Spell Styles:
- Orb — creates a barrier around the target and applies the effect
- Self Orb — same as orb, but for the caster
- Beam — casts a beam affecting all entities in its path
- Ball — fires a fireball creating an area with lingering spell effect (recommended to jump when casting to avoid backlash)
In the 1.16 version, you can deactivate draining spells by using the item while holding Shift!
Boss
The boss spawns with random effects and buffs. Upon defeat, it drops its unique helmet. When right-clicked, the helmet spawns a buried treasure barrel at the player's feet.
