Wild Wolves

Experience a new level of danger in the world of Minecraft!

This datapack brings exciting changes to the gameplay by adding hostile wolves, wolf dens, and special horns that grant your tamed pets additional abilities.

Creative Mode Features

For quick access to all features in creative mode, the following commands are available:

• /function wild_wolves:wolf_attack_spawn - summon a wolf attack
• /function wild_wolves:give_goat_horns - get all special horns
• /locate structure wild_wolves:wolf_den_desert or /locate structure wild_wolves:wolf_den_taiga - find a wolf den

Wolf Attacks

Random wolf attacks occur every few days, with the probability significantly increasing during a full moon. The start of an attack is signaled by a loud wolf howl and red text above the hotbar.

Attacking wolves are divided into two types: alpha wolves and regular pack members. Alpha wolves are significantly stronger than their counterparts and drop wolf teeth upon death.

Wolf Attributes by Biome

Each biome grants wolves unique characteristics:

• Forest areas: groups of 5 wolves with increased knockback strength
• Sparse jungles: groups of 5 wolves with poison and nausea effects
• Taiga and plains: the fastest groups of 5 wolves
• Old growth taiga: groups of 5 wolves with dash attacks
• Snowy regions: groups of 5 wolves with weakening bites
• Hills: trios with powerful slowing effects
• Savanna: large packs of 9 wolves with weak health and damage
• Desert: trios of the toughest wolves with knockback resistance and high damage

Wolf Dens

Wolf dens can be found in deserts and old growth taigas, easily recognizable by large bones sticking out of the ground. These shelters are inhabited by aggressive wolves of various ages, including one alpha leader and several pups.

Suspicious sand and gravel inside the dens contain valuable items, among which special goat horns can be found.

Wolf Horns

By clearing suspicious blocks in wolf dens, you can discover 9 different types of special horns. Each type activates a unique ability when used, most often related to your tamed wolves.

Horn durability depends on their usefulness, but they can be repaired by throwing them on the ground together with a wolf tooth, which can be obtained from alpha wolves or suspicious blocks in dens.

Horn Abilities:

• Sit Horn - makes all tamed wolves within 16 blocks sit
• Stand Horn - makes all tamed wolves within 16 blocks stand up
• Target Horn - orders wolves to attack the nearest hostile mob
• Healing Horn - fully restores health to all wolves within 16 blocks
• Power Horn - temporarily increases wolves' strength and speed
• Call Horn - teleports all wolves within 64 blocks to the player
• Color Horn - randomly changes the collar color of all tamed wolves
• Calm Horn - soothes angry wolves in the vicinity
• Attack Horn - triggers a wolf attack

Tamed Alpha Wolf Features

If you manage to tame an alpha wolf using bones, it will grant all other wolves within 16 blocks strength and regeneration effects.

Illager Wolves

All illager captains (pillagers, vindicators, evokers) have a 25% chance to spawn with three leashed aggressive wolves that immediately attack players, villagers, and iron golems.
