Woolly Spawners
This compact server-side mod fundamentally changes the mechanics of spawners and creature spawning, making race for the wool maps more balanced and engaging. It's important to note that it's not intended for regular survival and was specifically created for PvP modes.
Key Features
Mobs remember which specific spawner they came from. Creatures without spawner attachment instantly disappear when leaving the despawn zone. For mobs created by spawners, the despawn radius is significantly reduced and corresponds to the sum of the required player distance and spawn zone.
One of the key features is that mobs from spawners ignore standard spawning conditions - they don't require darkness, they can appear in lava and other normally unsuitable locations.
For some problematic mobs, including bees, endermen, polar bears, wolves, zombified piglins, and evoker fangs, the mod uses alternative display models on the client side, solving known rendering issues.
Spawners now limit the number of created creatures based on the living mobs they've spawned, rather than simply by entity type in a certain area. This prevents excessive mob accumulation.
Additional improvements include quick cat disappearance after 5 seconds and protection of redstone blocks from explosion damage, which is especially useful for maps with technical elements.
