WorldBorder-Forge

WorldBorder is a server mod for creating and managing world dimension boundaries. Originally developed by Brettflan for Bukkit, this mod has been unofficially adapted by abused_master to work with Forge starting from version 1.10.2+.

For over a year, we have successfully used WorldBorder on our collaborative survival server. The mod has proven to be reliable, flexible, and convenient to operate. It not only establishes clear world boundaries but also provides features for pre-generating territories within these boundaries and cleaning up unnecessary areas outside them.

This modification became necessary for us because players were actively exploring resource worlds and mining resources, which led to significant increases in server backup sizes.

Key Features

  • Setting boundaries for each dimension by specifying radius or corner coordinates
  • Ability to create circular or square boundaries with individual settings for each dimension
  • Pushing players back from world boundaries
  • Teleportation to the opposite side of the boundary (world wrap)
  • Blocking ender pearl throws, mob spawning, and block placement outside established boundaries
  • Complete generation of all chunks within boundaries with configurable fill speed, buffer zone creation, and auto-save
  • Removal of unnecessary chunks and region files outside boundaries with controlled cleanup speed

Usage

All WorldBorder features are accessible through the /wb command. To get a full list of available commands and their descriptions, simply enter /wb without parameters. Currently, these commands are only available to users with operator privileges.

If the /wb command doesn't work, try using alternative options: /wborder or /worldborder. The /wb command might already be used by another modification.

For quickly setting a boundary in the current world based on radius from your current position, use the command /wb set <radius>.

License

The mod is distributed under the BSD license, identical to the original WorldBorder license. This provides full permission for modification and redistribution both separately and as part of mod packs.
