Xtra Commands

This modification was kept private for several years and used exclusively by my Twitch/Trovo streaming team for viewer entertainment. Now I've decided to share it with the community - perhaps someone else will want to use it for similar purposes.

Main Commands

All mod commands begin with /xc or /xtracommands:

drophelditems - throws out items from both of the player's hands. Perfect for situations when a streamer finds themselves above a chasm holding valuable weapons.

pit [lava|water] - teleports the player to the nearest opening beneath them. If no suitable location is found, the command digs a 5×5×5 block pit. When "lava" or "water" arguments are specified, the player moves to the lowest position above bedrock, and the pit fills with the chosen liquid.

quake - removes a 3×3×1 block area directly beneath the player's feet. Ideal for destroying a single-block bridge over a lava lake in the Nether. Important: the command doesn't remove tile entities, so it cannot be used to destroy player storage.

summonrandom "||" - randomly selects an entity from the list and spawns it at the player's coordinates. When the count is more than one, multiple creatures may appear. The entity list must be enclosed in double quotes and separated by vertical bar "|".

unequiparmor - removes all armor from the player. Stripped equipment goes into the inventory if space is available, otherwise it drops into the world.

rtp - provides proper random teleportation considering world type. Players won't end up in the void in The End or above bedrock in The Nether.

summonnamed [] - summons a named mob while preserving the default equipment generated in vanilla gameplay.

timeskip <day|night> - skips time to the nearest day or night, unlike Minecraft's /time set command which resets the day counter to zero.

Potion Effects

The mod adds two unique effects:

/effect give @s xtracommands:reverse - inverts WASD controls: D moves left, A moves right, W moves backward, and S moves forward.

/effect give @s xtracommands:roll - rotates the player's camera. The effect level determines the type of rotation:

  • Level 0: 180-degree rotation
  • Level 1: 90-degree clockwise rotation
  • Level 2: 90-degree counter-clockwise rotation
  • Level 3 and above: continuous camera rolling, with speed increasing as the level rises. Combining with the Nausea effect creates maximum discomfort!
