YDM's Copper Golem
The YDM's Copper Golem mod introduces a new mechanical assistant to Minecraft - the copper golem. This unique creation brings interesting mechanics related to copper and electricity into the game.
Creating the Copper Golem
To create this mechanical creature, you need to arrange three blocks in a specific sequence:
- At the bottom: cut copper stairs
- In the middle: block of copper or cut copper
- At the top: lightning rod
Features and Abilities
The copper golem has several unique characteristics. Every 10 seconds, it automatically presses nearby buttons, making it useful for automating various mechanisms.
Like regular copper blocks, the golem is susceptible to oxidation. You can protect it from this process by using honeycombs to apply wax. An interesting feature is that lightning strikes nearby are redirected to the golem. If it's not waxed, a lightning strike removes oxidation from it.
Player Interaction
You can accelerate the oxidation process by using an egg, or clean the golem with an axe. It sometimes turns its head on its own, and also responds to the use of a copper ingot.
The golem can be tamed by giving it a copper ingot. After that, it will follow you at a short distance. Copper ingots are also used for its healing. When destroyed, the golem drops several copper ingots.
Compatibility
The mod is available for Forge and Fabric versions, ensuring broad compatibility with various Minecraft builds.
