YogMod - Recreation of VoxelBox Scientific Texture Pack

YogMod is a modification that revives the famous TheVoxelBox Scientific texture pack used in the iconic YogLabs video series by Yogscast. This series, launched in 2012, combines mod showcases with an engaging storyline in a unique scientific laboratory setting.

Compatibility Solution

The main feature of YogMod is that it adds YogLabs textures as separate blocks rather than replacing standard Minecraft blocks. This allows players to build laboratories in the YogLabs style while maintaining the ability to play regular Minecraft without constantly switching texture packs.

Project Evolution

Originally developed as an internal mod called NosLabs Custom Blocks (2015-2019), the project received official permission from Lewis of Yogscast in July 2019 and was renamed to YogMod. In October 2023, the mod became available for survival gameplay with a crafting system using the smithing table in version 1.19.

Texture Quality

The mod includes low-resolution textures from early YogLabs episodes by default, but also offers high-definition textures for each version. It's recommended to use HD textures alongside the Sphax PureBDcraft resource pack for optimal visual experience.
