YUNG's Better Mineshafts (NeoForge)
What is this modification?
This mod completely transforms the standard abandoned mineshafts of Minecraft, turning them from boring straight corridors into dynamic, branching tunnel systems with varied architecture. Explore hidden corners of abandoned work areas where valuable finds are tucked away, or discover chests with loot right on minecarts in open sections of the mines.
Key Features
- 13 biome variants of mineshafts, including rare mushroom mineshafts!
- Full customization - after the first mod launch, a bettermineshafts folder with configuration files will appear in the config folder
- Abandoned workstations (common)
- Underground storages and cellars (less common)
- Ore deposits at the end of some tunnels: coal, iron, redstone, gold, lapis, emeralds, and (very rarely) diamonds!
- Abandoned miners' camps (rare)
- Surface openings (very rare)
- Support for lanterns and candles from Rustic, Charm, and Varied Commodities mods (version 1.12 only)
