YUNG's Cave Biomes - New Underground Worlds in Minecraft

YUNG's Cave Biomes

This vanilla+ mod expands Minecraft's underground world with two unique cave biomes: Frosted Caves and Lost Caves. Each offers its own features, including new creatures, blocks, items, and musical accompaniment.

Compatibility with Other Mods

The mod is designed for full compatibility with any other modifications, including those that change world generation. However, there are some peculiarities when working with popular graphics mods:

Sodium

It is recommended to disable the "Use Fog Occlusion" option in the performance section. With this option enabled, areas behind the thick yellow fog during sandstorms may not render, allowing you to see the sky through the fog. This doesn't affect gameplay but diminishes the visual effect.

Optifine / Iris

In the Lost Caves, the thick yellow fog during sandstorms doesn't render. It still looks good visually but without such an impressive effect. Also, enchanted ice may be visible even when embedded in regular ice, although it should be hidden. This practically doesn't affect gameplay.

Distant Horizons (Fabric)

You might not see anything at all during sandstorms. In this case, go to Distant Horizons settings in-game > Advanced options > Graphics > Fog > set "Enable Vanilla Fog" to True.

Distant Horizons (Forge)

As with Optifine/Iris, the thick yellow fog during sandstorms in the Lost Caves doesn't render, but the overall visuals remain attractive.
