ZeroPoint Energy API
ZeroPoint is an innovative energy system specifically designed for the Rift mod and Minecraft version 1.13. Primarily, it's a programming interface that includes a generator as a demonstration block.
Core System Principles
Creating a Balanced Ecosystem. Previous energy systems like RF and Forge Energy faced issues with excessive power scaling. This led to situations where basic cables transmitted thousands of energy units per tick, while simple batteries stored millions. Such values negatively impact game balance, so ZeroPoint offers a completely new approach.
Simplicity and Player Understanding. The system displays energy per second rather than per game tick. This allows users to better estimate actual device operation times and more easily plan their energy networks. While ticks are convenient for computer calculations, second-based intervals are much more intuitive for human perception.
Functionality Without Dependencies. Since Rift currently lacks the capabilities system, ZeroPoint implements its own structure for component interaction. Development will continue and improve alongside Rift's own evolution.
