

ZG Mobs - Enhanced Enemies for Hardcore Survival
ZG Mobs (Zeta's Germonium Mobs) is a Minecraft modification that significantly increases the game's difficulty by enhancing all hostile creatures categorized as "Monsters". Notably, the mod works not only with vanilla mobs but also with creatures from other mods, including bosses!
How the Germonium System Works
Each monster has a 5% chance to transform into a special "Germonium" form, which exists in two variants:
- Infernium - the more common form (90% probability)
- Celestium - the rare and dangerous form (10% probability)
The transformation process looks like this: monster spawns → has 5% chance to become Germonium → if transformation occurs, then with 90% probability becomes Infernium or with 10% probability becomes Celestium.
Characteristics of Germonium Variants
Germonium Infernium
- Bright red glow and rainbow particles around the creature
- Health increase by 40 units
- Damage increase by 8 units
- Movement speed increase by 50%
- Knockback resistance increased by 40%
- Armor +20 and armor toughness +15
- Complete immunity to fire
- Creepers and similar creatures always spawn charged
- Every 20-30 seconds shoot a Shulker bullet that has 50% chance to explode (doesn't destroy blocks) or apply a negative effect (Weakness, Slowness, etc.)
- Germonium mobs are immune to their own Shulker bullets
- Experience multiplier ×15 (for example, a Husk that normally drops 5 experience points now drops 75)
Germonium Celestium
- Rainbow glow and particles around the creature
- Health increase by 80 units
- Damage increase by 12 units
- Movement speed increase by 65%
- Complete knockback resistance (100%)
- Armor +25 and armor toughness +20
- Complete immunity to fire
- Creepers and similar creatures always spawn charged
- Every 20-30 seconds shoot TWO Shulker bullets with the same effects
- When a Germonium Celestium dies, it spawns 0 to 4 new mobs that are ALWAYS the Germonium Infernium variant
- Experience multiplier ×30 (for example, a Husk that normally drops 5 experience points now drops 150)
Settings and Configuration
The mod offers extensive customization options for your preferences:
- Change the base chance of Germonium mobs appearing (default 5%)
- Completely disable the Germonium system (equivalent to setting chance to 0%)
- Configure the probability of Infernium and Celestium variants appearing
- Enable/disable the Shulker bullet shooting ability
- Change the delay between shots (in ticks, 400 to 600 by default)
- Configure the number of mobs spawning when Celestium dies (up to 4 by default)
- Ability to change the type of mobs spawning when Celestium dies through datapacks
- Configuration of loot tables for both variants through datapacks
Compatibility and Usage
The mod is fully compatible with other modifications that also affect experience multipliers - effects stack. You can freely use ZG Mobs in your modpacks, on servers, and in video content.
Inspiration and Acknowledgments
The mod's idea was inspired by the "Blight" system from the Scaling Health mod by SilentChaos512. The main developer is LiukRast, who created this amazing modification.
