

Zombie Awareness
Enhanced Zombie Senses
This mod fundamentally changes the behavior of zombies and other hostile mobs, making them much more dangerous and aware of your presence.
Blood Scent
When you take damage, blood stains appear on the ground. If you have low health, you'll occasionally bleed, which attracts monsters' attention. They can smell the blood and track you down using these trails.
Hearing
Various sounds you make can reveal your location. Monsters react to:
- Mining and placing blocks
- Explosions
- Shooting bows and crossbows
- Eating
- Using doors, gates, note blocks
- Playing records
- Activating buttons, levers, pressure plates
- Tripwires
- Opening chests and barrels
- Piston operation
- Other zombies
The volume of the sound directly affects how well monsters hear it.
Vision and Light Sources
Monsters can detect light sources from very long distances. If they have direct line of sight, they will come to investigate the light source.
Configuration
You can choose which specific monsters will have enhanced abilities. By default, the mod works with:
- Zombies
- Husks
- Creepers
- Skeletons
- Strays
- Witches
- Zombie villagers
The mod attempts to support mobs from other mods. After running your modpack for the first time, check the MobLists.toml -> enhanceableMobs file to see a list of compatible mobs.
Additional Features
Use pistons or TNT to attract zombies to specific areas - this can help distract them and allow you to escape. Monsters always respond to louder sounds.
Optionally, you can enable random wandering hordes on the surface (disabled by default): mobs will gather into large groups and randomly roam the territory.
Requires CoroUtil to function. The mod can be freely used in any modpacks!
