Zombie Infection
Basic Gameplay
When a player dies, they become infected but can be cured by eating a golden apple. Deaths and cures are announced in the chat. Zombies do not burn during the day and always spawn with a high chance of reinforcements. Sleeping no longer skips the night. Humans cannot attack other humans, and the infected cannot attack other infected.
Game Modes
An operator can choose one of three modes when the datapack is activated. If you need to change the mode (not recommended after someone becomes infected) or the menu was not visible at start, run the command /function zombie_infection:menu
to open the menu.
Fast Mode Designed for a manhunt style. Infected players cannot be cured, keep inventory is on, and instant respawn is enabled.
Normal Mode (Default) A standard experience, not too fast but not too long. Infected players are slower, keep inventory is on, but instant respawn is disabled.
Long Mode Suitable for roleplay scenarios—create your own rules! Infected players are slower, have mining fatigue, and have less health. Keep inventory and instant respawn are disabled.
This datapack is most fun with others but can be played solo for an extra challenge.
