Ashen 16x

The Ashen modification offers a completely reimagined visual style for Minecraft with 16x resolution while carefully preserving the spirit of the original game. The resource pack includes custom models for many blocks and items, new block variants for construction detailing, and diverse mob versions (when used with Optifine and similar modifications).

Development of Ashen has been a hobby project since 2019, and version 1.13 marks the completion of the texture set — it covers all game assets (except Realms resources and the font, available as a separate download).

Compatibility

The Ashen resource pack is distributed 'as is'. Compatibility with other resource packs or mods that change block, item, or creature models is not formally guaranteed. Primary focus is on standard gameplay, although expanded mod support is planned after completing the core textures.

Starting from version 1.2, Ashen works well with Fresh Animations by Fresh__LX. To use both packs together, place Ashen above Fresh Animations in the resource pack loading order. Despite efforts to maintain mob texture compatibility, 100% compatibility is not guaranteed.

Support for outdated Minecraft versions, as well as a Bedrock Edition release, are not currently planned, as the developer focuses on current Java version updates.
