Blue's Better Monsters
Before using this resource pack, please note - it is compatible with Minecraft versions from 1.19.2 to 1.21 inclusive.
Blue's Better Monsters completely transforms hostile mobs, making them more realistic and detailed. The following enemies have received significant improvements within this resource pack:
- Zombies
- Skeletons
- Creepers
- Spiders
- Witches
Each of them has received fully animated models, redesigned textures, and new unique features.
Dismemberment When you deal significant damage to an enemy, there is a chance for it to lose limbs before actual death.
Enhanced Animation All mobs have received completely redesigned animations - from idle states to movement, attacks, and death. Baby zombies now crawl instead of moving like their adult counterparts.
Disguising Creepers Some creepers have learned to take the form of other creatures to stealthily approach the player. However, an attentive observer may notice subtle signs revealing the true nature of the disguised creeper.
Witches on Brooms When a witch's health drops to critical levels, she jumps on her broom. If the player manages to kill a flying witch, she continues to hover in the air.
Ceiling-hanging Spiders Spiders cling to ceiling surfaces and dangle from them. When damaged, spiders can lose legs, adapting their gait depending on the number of remaining limbs.
Death Variety Mob death animations are randomly generated, ensuring each combat encounter ends uniquely.
Examples of mechanics in action:
A creeper hiding under the guise of a zombie returns to its true form when approaching the player
A skeleton demonstrates updated movement and attack animations
A zombie gradually loses body parts that can be separated
A zombie shows various death animation options
A spider dangling from the ceiling loses several legs
A witch jumps on her broom
