compared to most other dragons, Sculk Dragons have a very narrow diet. They are limited to things rich in soul energy; most forms of sculk, soul sand, soul soil, wither roses, netherwart, and the Nether Star.

the sculk living inside of sculk dragons protects them from having their life force drained. this makes wither skeletons less dangerous, it also makes them completely immune to the usual harm from stepping on wither roses.

when you level up the Sculk Infect ability, you can infect enemies with your sculk, the sculk infection drains their life force for a short duration.

by feeding some of your mana to the sculk in your body, you can cause it to bloom. when the sculk inside your body blooms, you get instant nourishment, it also will make you feel tired and hamper your physical prowess until the bloom subsides.

getting hungry as Sculk Dragon? that is something that will probably happen a lot in the early game, fortunately you can use the Sculk Feed ability.

for a short duration, the sculk eyes ability can see into the dark like it is completely lit up.

Speaking of Acclimation to underground life, they can focus some of their mana into their eyes if they need to see in pitch black darkness.

bright lights can cause sculk dragons temporary blindness due to their acclimation to underground life.

Sculk Dragons at first may seem similar to Forest dragons, they are actually related, the difference is the organism they host, forest dragons have plants, while sculk dragons have sculk living inside them.
