The Goombestiary (Super Mario)

Inspired by the Super Mario Bros. universe that I grew up with, this resource pack makes your Minecraft adventures truly Mario-esque. The main goal is to transform regular Minecraft animals into characters from the famous plumber series.

Key Features

• Character skin customization: Deep customization of creature appearances
• In place of regular wolves, various types of Goombas now thrive - from classic brown ones to unique Galoombas, Goombuds, and others, fully aligned with the 1.20.5 update
• Instead of standard wolf armor, special Goomba helmets are used

Colorful Mario Fauna

Horses receive the appearance of charismatic Yoshis with complete retexturing of standard horse armor. To obtain any color variations of Yoshis, original leather armor elements matching the color schemes are used.

Donkeys transform into colorful Birdos, while mules become Boshi from Super Mario RPG. Skeleton bone horses are represented by Rex characters from Super Mario World, and zombie horses by Plessie from Super Mario 3D World.

The English language localization file changes all text references to original animals, making the experience completely immersive, and individual sound effects complement the picture with the very sounds you remember from classic games.

Essential Requirements

For the pack to work, downloading ETF or EMF is required, thanks to which texture variations and special entity models become possible.

The mobile pupils of characters are implemented thanks to special solutions.
