Johns Enhanced (Alacrity Addon)
This resource pack represents a comprehensive expansion for the original Alacrity, filled with numerous author improvements. Alacrity is rightfully considered one of the best visual resource packs, and this addon offers significant enhancements in texture detailing and updating object models.
For proper functionality, the base Alacrity pack is required.
Essential Requirements:
- Fabric (Optifine no longer recommended)
- EMF (Entity Model Features) for advanced creature models
- ETF (Entity Texture Features) for improved character textures
- Continuity for connected neighboring textures
- Polytone for biome color customization
- CIT Respawn for additional features
The addon is also optimized for use with shaders, without which some elements may display incorrectly. Particularly recommended is Complementary Shaders with LabPBR enabled.

Current Features:
Advanced Character and Object Models New additions include enhanced boat, skeleton, wither skeleton (with animated heart that beats faster at low health), stray skeleton, spider models, horses with equipment, sheep with shearing animations, minecarts, wolves in armor, livestock models (cows, mooshrooms, chickens with appearance variations), as well as interior items - beds, item frames. Special attention given to detailing animal equipment.
Updated Natural Element Models Completely reworked lantern designs, various coral types, ferns, carpet coverings, spore blossom plants, moss carpets, dripstones, nether vegetation blocks, unique fungi designs, hay bales, glowing mushrooms, pumpkins, sculk blocks, bamboo leaves, and candle sets with multiple design variations. Reimagined appearance of popular garden flowers: allium, tulips, orchids and other common meadow inhabitants.
Inventory Interface Improvements Adjustments made to dye selection menus, carpets, tropical vegetation displays, confectionery items and baked goods. Updated models for ranged weapons, containers, saplings, bookshelves. Standard armor and tools received unique appearances for each material type. Over a hundred everyday items were redesigned - potions, fruits, snowballs, vegetables, metal ingots, raw minerals, feathers, goat horns, crystals and fragments.
Additional Environmental Graphics Detailed surface layers of various soil types: from regular dirt to sand, podzol, clay, root systems. Enhanced stone material detailing, improves realism of luminescent blocks in sculk design. Most ore and valuable mineral textures redesigned considering transformative shader usage.
Connected Textures for Interactive Surfaces Seamless surface connection enabled for mushroom stems, cactus bodies, sugar cane plants, cave mud, base rock layers, obsidian, fundamental building materials. Multiple patterned surfaces (metals, decorative blocks, unique dripstone and ice compositions) standardized for edge joining.
The applied refinements address a wide range of artifacts and content errors from the main Alacrity version, increasing display stability when combined with shader post-processing.
