🧯 Low Fire
With the Low Fire resource pack, fire tongues become noticeably lower, allowing for better visibility of your surroundings during gameplay without being distracted by tall, view-obstructing flames.
🔍 How does it differ from similar packs?
Unlike most solutions of this kind, this resource pack preserves the original appearance of ground-level fire and only affects first-person view rendering.
💻 How it works
The fire_1 texture files were visually "trimmed" from the top, making flames appear lower when viewed from first-person perspective. To prevent ground-level fire from looking unnaturally cut off (which would be undesirable and unnecessary), a supplementary file fire_2 was added to the pack, essentially being the original, untrimmed version of fire_1. The fire model code was then modified so that ground fire renders using the fire_2 file, while first-person view connects to the "low" fire_1 file. This same mechanism applies to soul fire as well.
