Spectral

A gentle 16x16 resource pack combining familiar shapes with a unique style.

The main idea of this project is to preserve Minecraft's recognizable atmosphere while adding more warmth to the visuals. This is not just vanilla-oriented work - all textures were created completely from scratch. Some blocks look quite different from the original versions but still fit organically into the game's overall mood.

Although the project is still in development, the unfinished vanilla textures still blend well with those executed in the resource pack.

Compatibility Features

The pack includes features for Continuity and OptiFine, but it also looks good without them!

About Current Status

Work on the resource pack is still far from finished and will require considerable time! A significant portion of blocks is not yet ready, textures have been completed for only some creatures, and there are very few item interface elements.

I work on this project in my free time, so updates are irregular. Nevertheless, even now it gives the Overworld a distinctly different feel from the standard one.

Implemented and Planned Features

Already implemented:

• Textures completed for most blocks that naturally appear in the Overworld
• Some double slabs transform into different textures when joined
• Texture variation is present, especially among vegetation
• Adjustments to grass and foliage color maps

In planning:

• Create unique textures for all double slabs
• Increase texture diversity, including emphasis on plants and foliage
• (POSSIBLY) creating a CIT pack - this is a distant prospect, but dreaming doesn't hurt

Add-ons

The following add-on is available for Spectral:

• Legacy Planks (Modrinth): returns crimson and jungle planks to their old colors

Mod Compatibility

There is currently no support for other modifications, and there may never be. I'm developing this project alone, in my spare time, and I already have enough plans for its improvement. It would be too much of a burden.

However, if you want to create an add-on that adds compatibility with mods - let me know. I'm willing to permit the use of some resources from this pack if you need that!
