Southern Railway Schools class for Immersive Railroading
The SR V class, more widely known as the Schools class, were steam locomotives engineered by Richard Maunsell for the Southern Railway. This design represented a more compact iteration of Maunsell's famous Lord Nelson class, while integrating proven components from the earlier King Arthur and Urie class developments. What makes the Schools class particularly notable is that these were the final British locomotives manufactured with the 4-4-0 wheel configuration, and they earned recognition as the most powerful examples of this specific arrangement ever produced anywhere in Europe.
