In The Twilight Forest, there's a glacier biome — the domain of the Ice Queen boss. What's unique about this area is that it rains here instead of snowing.
However, when Fabric Seasons is installed, the entire glacier biome can start melting. That happens because the biome’s temperature is 0.8, and Fabric Seasons triggers ice to melt above a temperature of 0.15.
This—as it appears—isn't likely intentional behavior, given that surrounding snowy woods only have a temperature of 0.09. So, this fix adjusts the temperature of the Twilight Forest glacier biome to 0.08, making sure it doesn't conflict with how Fabric Seasons functions.
Melted ice blocks on a server can cause real slowdowns. If you use a mod that improves water dynamics and visuals (such as Effective), you might also face drastic FPS drops on your end.
Once you install this fix, the Twilight Forest glacier biome starts snowing rather than raining. It also no longer melts—Fabric Seasons be in the picture or not.
To activate the tweak: copy the data pack's files into your world’s /datapacks folder—or ease the setup process by loading the fix automatically, for example, via Paxi for Fabric servers.
