Anti Aliasing (TAA, FXAA)

Solves the problem of jagged edges and pixelation at texture and object boundaries. This shader provides smoothing of visual artifacts, making the picture significantly cleaner and more pleasing to the eye. Two processing methods are available: fast FXAA and higher quality TAA.

With anti-aliasing turned off, there is image flickering and object trembling on the screen. Activating the shader completely eliminates these unwanted effects.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this project different from other similar solutions?

Correct work with fog is supported in all game versions, a new FXAA method is implemented, and higher performance is provided compared to TAA Project.

What's the difference between FXAA and TAA methods?

FXAA is a fast post-processor that blurs sharp edges. TAA uses data from previous frames to create a smoother image, especially noticeable when the camera or objects are moving.

The TAA implementation code was taken from the TAA Project, therefore this mod is distributed under the MPL-2.0 license.
