Insanity Shader

Immerse Yourself in Horror

Meet Insanity shader — a stylish graphics package with dark atmosphere designed specifically for horror game enthusiasts in Minecraft. This isn't just a set of visual effects, but a complete overhaul of game graphics that transforms ordinary Minecraft into an engaging horror story.

Key Advantages

This shader pack is based on the famous BSL Shaders by Capt Tatsu but has received numerous unique improvements and settings:

  • Incredible dark atmosphere — perfect for horror modpacks and creating intense gameplay
  • Extended customization — now with even more settings than in original BSL
  • New cloud system — redesigned sky and cloud visualization
  • Immersive weather — from misty morning hours to pouring rains and thunderstorms
  • Even safe locations become scary — the Nether and End become even more terrifying, never go out without torches!

Ease of Use and Compatibility

Intuitive menu with quick settings makes shader configuration accessible even for beginners. Support for modern graphics cards ensures comfortable performance even on budget systems.

Compatibility with all modern Minecraft versions, including 1.7.x-1.20.x, through loaders:

  • Iris Shaders (recommended)
  • Oculus
  • OptiFine

Helpful tip: For proper display of realistic texture packs, activate the "Advanced Materials" option in the "Materials and Reflections" settings.

Installation via Iris Shaders

It's very simple to do:

  1. Download Iris from the official website, open the .jar file and install it in your .minecraft folder
  2. Download the Insanity file and move the archive to .minecraft\shaderpacks directory
  3. Launch Minecraft via Fabric Loader from Iris
  4. In the graphics settings, select the "Shaders" section and activate Insanity

Content Creation Use

You can freely record videos and demonstrate gameplay with this shader to any community — mentioning the author isn't required but is appreciated.

Special thanks to Capt Tatsu for creating the phenomenal BSL Shaders, which became the foundation for this shader pack.
